The chief minister is anxious to know the current physical condition of Soumitra Chatterjee.

The critically acclaimed actor was admitted to hospital on October 6 after he tested positive for COVID-19. He had to be shifted to ITU as his condition turned critical. A team of 15 doctors is overseeing him at the hospital.

Soumitra Chatterjee has been running a high fever since Sunday (October 11) afternoon. The sodium-potassium level in his body has also decreased.

Doctors have kept him on invasive ventilation. Giving invasive ventilation means that there is a risk of more side effects in the body. However, doctors are wondering if he can tolerate the ventilation.
