Singam 3 release postponed clash with Mollywood

The releasing date of Singam 3 which was initially postponed due to the effects of demonetization has been further pushed to December 23.

The movie will now clash with other Mollywood films waiting for release. This includes movies of bigwigs like Mammootty's 'The Great Father', Mohanlal's 'Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol', Dileep's 'Georgettan's Pooram' and Dulquer Salmaan's 'Jomonte Suvisheshangal'.

It is the second change in the film’s schedule as initially its release was set for Diwali. The film will now hit theatres during Christmas. Singam 3 features Tamil superstar Suriya who will play a hot-headed cop. The film is directed by Hari.

Rumours are that action thrillers do not find success in Kerala market anymore. Even big budget films without essence fail to attract viewers in the state.
