Item song sours grand return of Simbu-Nayantara

Simbu, Nayantara, Ava Namma Aalu

It took almost eight years for the love birds, who grew apart in 2006, to act together once again.

Come May 20, Silambarasan (Simbu) - Nayantara fans will get a real treat as Idu Namma Aalu will release in Tamil Nadu and across India.

According to rumours, though the two agreed to star together, there were large differences of opinions between them. The shooting for the movie started in 2013 and initially all was well. But the problems began in 2015 when the music for the movie was being created.

Allegedly, Nayantara refused to shoot a 'special' song for the film. The director, Pandian, publically backed the actress' right to refusal and stated that he was happy without the song.

But rumours say music director Kularasan and actor Simbu were adamant on having the song, eventually choosing to get another 'glamorous' actress to dance in the song. Actress Adah was eventually chosen and she was also offered a minor role in the movie with the song.

Thus, this film will also see Adah Sharma making her debut in Kollywood.
