In yet another soldier movie, director Major Ravi is planning to cast Tollywood actor and Baahubali-fame Rana Daggubati as the commander of an army tank. The untitled flick is expected to go on floors by the end of September, once Daggubati wraps up his Baahubali- 2 shooting.

The movie is set against the backdrop of 1971 India-Pakistan war and would be shot at various locations in Rajasthan, Kerala and Uganda.Â
Â
Industry sources say that Daggubati will be playing an important role next to Mohanlal's Major Mahadevan,a brave patriotic officer in the film. Major Mahadevan appears as the central figure in a series of movies that celebrated the bravery of Indian soldiers.Â
Â
Ravi is planning his upcoming movie as a prequel to the series that includes Keerthi Chakra, Kurukshetra, and Kandahar - all military stories. In these movies, Mohanlal plays the role of Major Mahadevan. The super star will have a totally new get up in the new flick, sources said.Â
