Rajinikanth posted the first shot from Thalaivar 170's sets, featuring his guru Amitabh Bachchan. The T.J. Gnanavel-directed film reunites the Tamil superstar and the iconic Bollywood actor after 33 years. Rajinikanth posted a photo with Amitabh after Lyca Productions confirmed their reunion a few weeks ago. Jailer celebrity posted a photo with remarks on X, formerly Twitter.

Rajinikanth wore a white attire with a black wig, while Amitabh wore a signature pink and blue patterned jacket with a head scarf. Amitabh hugged Rajinikanth while smiling for the cameras. On October 25, he took to his official X (formerly Twitter) page, to share an evergreen photo with his 'mentor' Amitabh AKA Big B. 

In his caption, Thalaivar wrote that he has reunited with his mentor after 33 years. Rajinikanth shot for 'Thalaivar 170' in Tirunelveli, a few days ago. A sea of fans in Kerala and Tirunelveli greeted him.

On October 25, Rajinikanth dropped an epic photo with Big B. Taking to X, the 'Annatthe' actor wrote, "After 33 years, I am working again with my mentor, the phenomenon, Shri Amitabh Bachchan in the upcoming Lyca’s "Thalaivar 170" directed by T.J Gnanavel. My heart is thumping with joy! (sic)."

About Thalaivar 170
Rajinikanth recently appeared in Nelson Dilipkumar's 'Jailer', which grossed over Rs 650 crore. The popularity of 'Jailer' led him to shoot 'Thalaivar 170' in Trivandrum, Kerala. He said the film will be a big-budget commercial entertainment with a message in a media interview.

In 'Thalaivar 170', Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rakshan, and GM Soundar play key parts. Lyca Productions produced the TJ Gnanavel-written and directed picture. Technical personnel includes composer Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographer SR Kathir, and editor Philomin Raj.
