Dulquer plays the character of Krishnan, who returns to his native place of Kammatti Paadam, after several years of work in Mumbai. Kali:

 

The movie features Dulquer Salmaan along with Sai Pallavi in the lead roles. Kali was a movie that belonged to a genre different from the usual ones. Dulquer as Siddharth, who faces anger management issues and reactive young man. The unexpected emotional changes, the frustration of Siddharth and more importantly, the helplessness of this character was brought to screen effectively by the actor. The film got mixed reviews and became a blockbuster at the box-office.

 

100 Days Of Love: 


Here, Dulquer is as Balan K. Nair, who is a cartoonist and a reporter. He falls in love with his friend Sheela (Nithya Menon). The movie got average success and positive reviews at the theatres. Here, we got to see the brilliance of the actor in him, particularly when he had to do the drunken act. He also outdid in the scenes where he appeared in double roles.

 

Ustaad Hotel:

The movie became a top-grossing hit in the year 2012 and helped Dulquer to secure a place in Mollywood. The film won three National Awards. The movie stars Dulquer in the character of Chef Faisal, who became a chef against his rich father's wishes. The movie also stars Nithya Menon, Thilakan, Siddique, and Mamukkoya.


Samsaaram Aarogyathinu Haanikaram​:

 


It stars Dulquer Salmaan and Nazriya Nazim as the lead characters. It's here that Aravind (Dulquer Salman), a door-to-door sales executive meets Anjana (Nazriya Nazim), a young doctor all ready to tie the knot. Dulquer was awesome in the role of Aravind with a remarkable ease and together with Nazriya, who looks ethereally beautiful, makes a cute pair. It also had the Roja-fame actress Madhoo. Samsaaram Aarogyathinu Haanikaram was made in both the launguages Tamil and Malayalam at the same time by the director Balaji Mohan. Dulquer won the Filmfare Award for the Best Debut Actor.

 

Bangalore Days: 


This movie also marked a milestone in the career of Salmaan as an actor. With the role of Arjun, who had a scraggly beard and uncombed strands of hair, indicating a disordered life. He brings in a rugged charm and a brusque carelessness into Arjun, a school drop-out and son of divorced parents. His role won a place in the hearts of all the Malayalam film lovers around the world. The movie made 50 crores at the box-office and won ten awards including three Kerala State Film Awards.

 

OK Kanmani: 

 

The movie was made in Tamil directed by the veteran Mani Ratnam. OK Kanmani became a major hit at the box-office and also received many critical acclaims. Dulquer played the role of an uber cool guy, who has a different take on love and the film had the theme of live-together relationships. With OK Kanmani, Dulquer has also established a place in the Tamil film industry too.
