A huge crowd was gathered in front of Nagalakshmi theatre on IG Road in Chikkamagaluru on Friday for the first day first show of the movie Kannada Lee. The fans asked everyone to move away from the road and started bursting crackers.

Coincidentally, Superintendent of Police Annamalai was also passing through the same road and saw the fans dancing frantically and bursting crackers in the middle of the road.

The SP who was on his way to attend a school function at State Vokkaligara Sangha, stopped his vehicle and stopped the Lee fans from bursting crackers. By then, the road was already covered with the cracker papers.

He took the fans to task and asked them, if they had permission to burst crackers on the road and also asked them who would clean the place after the fanfare? The fans were still in the mood of enjoyment and lied to the police that they were not responsible for the mess on the road.

The angry SP asked the police to take the fans into custody. Now, the scared fans agreed to have burst the crackers. The SP made them clean the road. Understanding the seriousness of the issue, Lee fans got brooms and started cleaning the road.

The SP did not move from the place till the cleaning work was completed. Let this be a lesson to the fans of movie stars or politicians that they cannot get away by creating a mess of the public property. The film Lee is starring Sumanth Shailendra, Nabha Natesh, Sneha, Sadhu Kokila, Rahul Dev, Achyuth Kumar, Suchendra Prasad.
