The second day of International Film Festival of Kerala (IIFK) was completely elated to find Jagathy Sreekumar, the veteran actor of Mollywood. He along with actor Sheela inaugurated 'Designer's Attic', a visual representation portraying the journey of Malayalam cinema.

The presentation designed by RaSa and film director Lijin Jose depicted the nuances and wider perspective of Malayalam films. It was created by using the historical records with Althaf and Manu.

The actor appears in public functions very rarely after he met with an accident on March 10, 2012. He suffered serious injuries and returned home only after a year of treatment at Vellore Medical College.

In a career spanning for over four decades, he had acted in over 1,100 films. Of the 70 Malayalam films that were screened in 2011, Jagathy had acted in 24.
