Sachin Tendulkar wants to watch Malayalam movie '1983' with Nivin Pauly 1983 is a sports drama on Tendulkar's cricket career.
Answering, Sachin said that he wanted to watch the movie along with the actor. He also added that he would watch the film in Malayalam itself, provided there are English subtitles.
Sachin also praised Nivin Pauly's support for the Kerala Blasters' Football team, as the actor is now associated with the football team, which is owned by Sachin.
Nivin, who was overwhelmed with Sachin's words, said that the filmmakers of 1983 had always wanted Sachin to watch the movie.
He mentioned that he had tried to approach Sachin several times during the release of 1983, but didn't succeed.
1983 is a sports drama on Tendulkar's cricket career. The movie it centres on Rameshan (Nivin Pauly) and his memories from '1983', when India won its first World Cup under Kapil Dev.
The movie won the 62nd National Film Awards for Best Background Score and three Kerala State Awards, including best debut director for Abride Shine, best actor for Nivin Pauly and second best actor for Anoop Menon.
