Gautami to do a Malayalam movie after 16 years

  • Popular South Indian actress Gautami is all set to make a comeback to Malayalam films. 
  • Actress Gautami was last seen in a Malayalam movie Varum Varunnu Vannu in 2003. 
Gautami to do a Malayalam movie after 16 years

Reportedly, the actress has been roped in the upcoming film Viswasapoorvam Mansoor, directed by veteran film-maker P T Kunjimuhammed. The movie has Prayaga Martin and Roshan Mathew in the lead.

 

According to a report published on an entertainment website, the filmmaker said, "Gautami would be seen playing a character named Fathima Beebi, who is the mother of the protagonist." Prayaga Martin would be paired opposite Roshan Mathew in the film. 

 

In the movie, Gautami plays a role of a broadminded woman, who resides in Thalassery with her son. Their world is limited to each other, till a mother and daughter make an unexpected entry into their lives."

 

The report also suggests that the movie will start rolling in February and has Thalassery and Mumbai as its locations. 

 

Actress Shweta Menon, Leona Lishoy, Renji Panicker, Sajitha Madhathil and Santhosh Keezhattoor also play key roles in the movie. 

 

The film's dialogues and script are also written by the director, and the music is composed by Ramesh Narayanan.

 

The actress was previously seen in a Telugu film Manamantha, which had Mohanlal in the lead role. She was much praised for her performance in the movie. 

 

The actress has worked with superstars like Mammootty and Mohanlal in the past and did make her mark in Mollywood by featuring in good number of films. 

 

Her popular films in Malayalam include movies like Dhruvam, Ayalathe Addeham, His Highness Abdullah, etc. Gautami took a break from movies, made a comeback to silver screen with Papanasam, the Tamil remake of Drishyam.
