Recently, Gauri's sister, Kavitha Lankesh was interviewed by Times Of India, where she revealed her sister's fun-loving side and also Gauri's love for cinema. She also told that Gauri loved Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly's films.

According to her, Gauri used to order Nivin's films online and watch them. And once, when Kavitha, who is also a filmmaker, suggested to Gauri that she invited the actor to do a cameo in her upcoming film Summer Holidays, Gauri said, 'I will come to see the shooting for sure!'
Nivin Pauly is one of the popular young Malayalam actors; he has given popular movies like Premam, Bangalore Days, 1983, Sakhavu etc. His movies like Bangalore Days and Premam have been widely popular among Kannadigas as well.
