Talking about his role and look in Nayaki to Newsable, Ganesh Venkatraman said, "Although I cannot reveal much about my role currently, it will be a surprise for the audiences. It's a very interesting character that I play, her (Trisha) love interest and somebody who is a heartthrob.

Govi wanted this retro look to be on the lines of Bollywood and not the 70's look of Kamal sir or Rajini sir. "Chaitanya Rao has done the styling for me. We have used a lot of silk shirts with huge motifs. You will find jacketed attire and puffy hairstyles. Trisha's look in the film is already known to all. a lot of it , her sarees and bindis have been inspired from Sridevi and Jayasudha's of the 1970's era."

Ganesh Venkatraman had kick-started his career as Mr India. Sense of fashion and its trends are something that he is not unaware of. "I have been a fan of the swinging, hip shaking generation of the seventies. Putting together the look is a team effort and I had put in some of my inputs."
