Eminent Kuchipudi dancer Shobha Naidu passes away

Eminent Kuchipudi dancer and Padma Sri Awardee Shobha Naidu has passed away. She was 58.

She had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad since the last 10 sats.

Shobha was an icon for the dance form who inspired generations with her stunning performance.

The Kuchipudi school she founded produced many artists from different countries over the last 4 decades. 

Shobha was honoured with Padma Shri for her contributions to the dance form in 2001.
