'Baahubali' star Prabhas has said that he would rather share screen space with Mohanlal in 'The Mahabharata', than replace him as Bheem.

Self-proclaimed Bollywood actor and film critic Kamaal R Khan aka KRK had recently tweeted that Prabhas, not Mohanlal, would be the ideal choice to play Bheem in the Rs 1000 crore project, much to the dismay of millions of Malayalam film buffs who bombarded KRK's social media pages.

Responding to the remark, Prabhas has now stated that he doesn't fancy replacing Mohanlal in The Mahabharata but would be more than happy to work with the veteran actor if he gets a suitable role in the film.

“Mohanlal is already playing the character (Bheem). If the makers have chosen him, it would be for a reason. I would love to share screen space with him, provided I get an opportunity. I’m a huge fan of his work,” Prabhas said.

Prabhas was addressing the media at hotel Crowne Plaza in Kochi on Sunday, where the Baahubali 2 cast arrived to release the film's audio CD.

Baahubali 2 releases will release on more than 300 screens in Kerala on April 28 and will have nearly 1500 shows on the first day.
