AR Rahman's mother Kareema Begum passes away in Chennai
Famous music composer AR Rahman's mother, Kareema Begum, took her last breath in Chennai today.
FollowAR Rahman took his Twitter account to break the news of his mother's demise. He shared a picture of his mother. Many people have sent their condolences, love and support to Rahman family.
Kareema Begum died to ill-health. It was Rahman's mother who pushed him to follow his dream and become a music composer. After his father's death, Kareema Begum raised AR Rahman on her own since he was nine years old.
It was her decision to make Rahman take up music and leave school in class XI. Rahman was very close to her.
