Last year, she was in the headlines post her divorce with the Tamil director AL Vijay. The news which the couple decided to call off their two-year-old marriage came as a shocker to their fans. The couple had been dating for three years before tying the knot.

She has won many awards; her first award was the Vijay Award for Best Debut Actress for her performance in the movie Mynaa. Her role in Prabhu Solomon’s directorial Mynaa made her a household name in the industry. 

 

 


 
Later, she was part of many big budget movies opposite superstars of the industries like Mohanlal, Vijay, Vikram, Dhanush, Fahadh Faasil, Nivin Pauly, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Arya, Siddharth, among many others. In 2016, her movie Mili was loved by many, and for that, she bagged two awards.

She was heavily trolled on social media for posting stylish pictures post-divorce. The vulgar and graphic memes and comments called the actress cheap and hinted at a possible affair with her co-stars. However, she gave a fitting reply to them by saying, "I don't waste my energy on silly criticisms."
