This movie has changed the face of recent trends in American cinema. The movie starring The Notebook heartthrob Ryan Gosling and The Amazing Spider-Man actor Emma Stone offered more of a grand romantic experience to the audience rather than just a cinematic excellence.

Directed by Damien Chazelle, the movie focuses on how Mia (Emma Stone), an aspiring actress, and Sebastian (Ryan Gosling), a jazz pianist who hopes to open his jazz club one day come closer and realise their dreams in the city of Los Angeles.

Here are ten reasons why every Indian who loves watching a musical, romantic movie should watch this spectacular film La La Land.

A slow-burning romance:
Audiences still love and prefer their love stories to be dreamy and a living fantasy. La La Land give you all and more, the movie is filled with jazz music and a slow building romance. For sure, the film is bound to win the hearts of every romantic soul out there.

Performances:
Gosling and Stone make for a sophisticated pair. They portray people in conflict, and that is exactly where the director's genius comes to use. Stone's character in the movie showcases the issues, which are so crucial in the making of an actress and she nailed the role with her splendid performance.

Romantic locations:
Starry nights and street lamps lighting up the innocence of soft-shoe romance, and two people who are meant for each other dancing on air. The Variety magazine was too impressed and called it a gritty war movie with few kid-friendly ingredients. The plot is created less like a flashy video game, and more like a down-and-dirty war movie.

Song and Dance:
The movie is a resurgence of the classic American musical movies. There is a scene where Sebastian and Mia dance atop the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles which critics and audiences have widely appreciated for their dance performance.

Just for Jazz lovers:
Hollywood films have tried to retrieve Jazz many times before. The music composer Justin Hurwitz clearly understands the importance which Jazz could bring to the movie. Something that went badly missing in Hollywood's earlier movies. Gosling plays a Jazz pianist in this film, who at one point is asked by his boss, not to play any Jazz at the restaurant where he works in the movie.

Brilliant music:
The movie is a modern day old-fashioned musical. La La Land is filled with tremendous performances, dazzling dance numbers, and catchy original tunes. Hats off to Justin Hurwitz, Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling the movie stars who have sung some of the songs themselves. Watch out for the actors' theme, one of the best compositions from the film.

Damien Chazelle:
Do you know, Damien Chazelle was a jazz drummer. His experiences in jazz held him to create his first movie Whiplash led him to create his first movie, which won three Oscars at the 87th Academy Awards. Later, with La La Land he has outdone himself and paid virtuoso homage to the look and style of the Hollywood musicals of the ’40s and, especially, the ’50s.

Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone's musical chemistry:
Gosling is one of Hollywood's most talented and good looking actors and Emma Stone, on the other hand, remarkable performers, having acted in some quality movies. La La Land is Ryan and Emma's third movie together, and their off-screen friendship turns into magic on-screen. Earlier, they had appeared in films like Crazy, Stupid, Love and Gangster Squad.

Fashion:
The movie will make you feel compelled to wear more primary colours like Emma Stone’s character Mia, Blue, red, sunshine yellow! She looks classy and gorgeous, and on the other hand, Gosling looks dapper that every woman dreamt off. Both actors' wardrobe in the movie has given us some serious fashion goals.

Ryan Gosling, we love you:
More than any other elements like music, love, Jazz, etc., the film made us fall in love with Ryan Gosling once again. He captured hearts in The Notebook and with this one, he reiterated that he is the modern day on screen, Romeo.

So much love. And recently, his Golden Globes acceptance speech won more hearts.
