Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court has issued a notice to the Central Crime Branch regarding the bail application of Sandalwood actress Ragini Dwivedi, who is currently lodged at the Parappana Agrahara Jail in connection with the Sandalwood drugs case.
The NDPS Special Court had denied bail to Ragini on September 28 after which she moved the bail plea to the High Court.
Ragini’s petition was heard by Justice BA Patil, who issued the notice to the CCB regarding her bail application and adjourned the matter to October 23.
Ragini’s lawyer, Mohammed Tahir, has argued in the High Court that Ragini has nothing to do with the Sandalwood Drugs case. Adding that she has never consumed nor supplied or sold drugs.
