Watch Team India take part in intra-squad practice match as Rishabh Pant smashes an unbeaten ton

The focus is on Team India as it prepares to take on New Zealand in the final of the ICC World Test Championship from June 18 at the Rose Bowl in Southampton. On the same note, the Indians have begun their preparations at the venue.

While they took part in a training session for the past few days, it was on Friday that they took part in an intra-squad practice match. The match's highlight was opener Shubman Gill, who smashed 85, while wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant hit an unbeaten 121. Meanwhile, pacer Ishant Sharma claimed three wickets.

A set of pictures was shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India that was captioned, "It's Day 2 of the intra-squad match simulation. After @RealShubmanGill got a steady start with 85 off 135 deliveries, @RishabhPant17 found his groove with a 121* off 94 deliveries. @ImIshant leads the pack with 3/36 #TeamIndia".

The BCCI also shared a video of the same on its social media, captioned, "A good Day 1 at office for #TeamIndia at the intra-squad match simulation ahead of #WTC21 Final 💪".

In another video, skipper Virat Kohli was seen bowling at the other side captain, KL Rahul. The video was captioned, "Captain vs Captain at the intra-squad match simulation. What do you reckon happened next? Straight-drive Defense LBW".
