English wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler is one of the most prolific batsmen for England across formats. Furthermore, owing to his blazing form of late, especially in the shortest format, he is making a significant impact playing for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League.

Meanwhile, Buttler recently made an exciting revelation regarding his career. During an exclusive interview with Cricbuzz, he revealed that the legendary Indian cricketing duo of Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly made an "incredible impact" on his career, especially following one of their knocks against Sri Lanka during the 1999 ICC World Cup.

"Those were my formative years and watching that game with Ganguly and Dravid scoring big hundreds had an incredible impact. India versus Sri Lanka in 1999 World Cup was my first experience of seeing Indian crowds and that ignites the fire of how passionate people are about the game, and how cool it would be to play in a World Cup," he said.

Dravid and Ganguly rained fours and sixes in Taunton during a time when Twenty20 cricket was still in discussions. The pair contributed to a massive 318-run stand for the second wicket, helping India set up an easy win on the neighbours.

This knock has inspired Buttler to play with a similar approach, which is best suited in the T20 format, as he has been sensational in the IPL for RR. This attitude of his led England to the ICC World Cup 2019 win, while he is expected to play a similar anchoring role for the side in the 2021 ICC World T20.
