Condemning the assault and abuse on resident doctors and nurses on duty, Karnataka Association of Resident Doctors (KARD) association members protested wearing black bands

‘All those who tested (COVID-19) positive have been lodged in a separate barrack (in Ballia) and are being given medicines and other things as per directives of the government’  

After inspected the COVID Care Centre at BIEC, BBMP commissioner N Manjunatha Prasad said only 5,000 out of the 10,000 beds have been arranged so far

 Karnataka’s total caseload rose to 80,000 as the state has been recording over 4,000 new cases per day since past one week  

Affected CBI officers, a sub inspector and a head constable, have been admitted to a local hospital and the remaining team will be tested for coronavirus immediately to rule out any asymptomatic case

Deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic in India crossed 30,000 and India’s toll rose to the sixth highest in the world on Thursday, even as fresh cases surged to another new high, crossing 49,000 for the first time.

British high commissioner Philip Barton also said India is "really important" to the UK in meeting the COVID-19 challenges and getting through the pandemic.

Belagavi Police Commissioner Dr Thyagarajan said the ambulance was empty at the time of the incident.
