The number of COVID-19 cases in West Bengal decreased further on Friday (November 13) as the recovery rate continued to grow. In the last 24 hours, 4,468 persons were cured of the COVID-19 infection. Thus, the number of active cases decreased to 31,501.
According to the BBMP data, about 54% (275) of ICU beds are free, as are 57% (225) of ICU-ventilator beds. This is a dramatic reversal from September and October when these beds were subject to 100% occupancy.

"COVID-19 situation in Delhi should come under control in 7-10 days; we are considering taking several steps next week." CM Kejriwal said.
India's Covid-19 tally surged to 87,28,795 with 44,878 new infections. While 547 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, with toll mounting to 1,28,688. The total cured cases are 81,15,580.
"The vaccine is proving to be safe through phase I clinical trials and that it is proving to produce a positive antibody response," Minister for Health Greg Hunt said.
