 India added 47,905 new Covid cases on Thursday pushing the total caseload to 86,83,916, according to the Union health ministry update.

<p>With 47,905 more people testing positive for coronavirus in a span of 24 hours, the infection tally mounted to 86,83,916, while the death toll rose to 1,28,121 after 550 new fatalities were reported, the data updated at 8 am showed.</p>
