The TDP (Telugu Desam Party) leaders in the Jammalamadugu constituency of Kadapa District fight for supremacy and authority in the constituency. Marketing and Animal Husbandry Minister Chadipiralla Adinarayana Reddy and MLC Ponnapureddy Rama Subba Reddy have been on a constant fight since decades when they were both in opposite parties.

But AP CM Chandrababu Naidu purposely bought Adinarayana from YCP (Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party) and gave him a place in his cabinet. To appease Subba Reddy, Chandrababu gave him the post of MLC.

The disagreement between Adinarayana and Subba Reddy continued in spite of being in one party and now reached a peak point where it is clear that only one leader would exist in TDP.

The recent point of contention between the two leaders is AP Vaidya Vidhana Parishad Governing Body Chairman post which Adinarayana desired for his son Sudheer Reddy to which Subba Reddy objected. This led to tensions between the two groups.

There arose a situation of only one leader surviving in TDP and that leader would be given the TDP party ticket in 2019 elections. Majority claim it would be Adinarayana as Chandrababu would find it not so easy to lose him after bringing him from YCP.

On the other hand, Subba Reddy’s sister Hymavathi openly warned Chandrababu that they would think about continuing in TDP only when Subba Reddy is given a party ticket in 2019.

All said and done, TDP is losing its staunch supporters with the advent of defected MLAs and soon Rama Subba Reddy may also leave TDP.
