Tension prevails at the Kadapa Zilla Praja Parishad meeting

The Kadapa District Zilla Praja Parishad meeting took place amidst chaos and disruption. The issue escalated when Member of Legislative Assembly Rachamallu Siva Prasad tried to complain about the Regional Development Officer Vinayak for selective distribution of funds.

Minister Adinarayana Reddy stopped him midway saying that this was not the time for complaints. This led to an argument between the MLA and the minister which spiralled into blows between the ruling and opposition party members. The clash between the two groups sparked regarding the drought fund issued by the Centre.

The Yuvajana Sramik Rythu Congress Party (YCP) MLAs accused that the drought funds released by the Centre were given only to the ruling party members and not to others. When the collector tried to give an explanation, the opposition members objected while the ruling party members raised slogans against YCP.

YCP MLAs Ravindranath Reddy, Srikanth Reddy and Rachamallu Siva Prasad stood in support of the ZP members. They forced the minister to respond but Minister Adinarayana Reddy became restless and refused to comment.
