TDP leaders attack two YSRCP women in land acquisition case in Anantapur

Anantapur district, Rapthadu mandal Gondireddypalli village saw attacks on two women by the TDP leaders in land acquisition case. The land has been in contest for some time between YSRCP worker Mallaiah and TDP leader Seenaiah which led to the attack on Sunday.

According to sources, Gidda Mallaiah is ploughing land of his nine acres along with the 70 cents adjoining government land for the past 30 years. Midathala Seenaiah intent on acquiring the land forced the Revenue officer into the matter. After investigation the village heads decided in favour of Mallaiah.

Frequent attacks between the two groups led to Mallaiah approaching the Court for justice and got the Injunction Order. But Seenaiah didn’t bother about the order and he along with his three sons and another person Gopal on Saturday ploughed the land.

Mallaiah decided to approach the court once again and hearing this news, Seenaiah and the TDP leaders came to attack with iron rods and sticks on Sunday. Mallaiah was locked inside the house but the men attacked his wife Ramakka and second daughter-in-law Radhamma and the other neighbours who came to their rescue.

Vanakka and Radhamma were severely injured in the scuffle and were shifted to hospital where they were said to be in a critical condition. Local residents allege that a rowdy sheet is in the name of Seenaiah and his three sons and that the land acquisition scuffle between the two parties has been going on since three months.

Police said they were informed of the scuffle between the two parties and are investigating the case.
