TDP Coordination Committee meeting revolves around Nandyal bypoll

Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) Coordination Committee meeting under chief minister Chandrababu Naidu took place on Thursday for two hours and the main point of discussion was the Nandyal bypoll.

Nandyal bypoll has become a prestigious issue for the ruling TDP. All the TDP leaders are in Nandyal working for the bypoll and in spite of it, TDP is not confident of a favourable result.

Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YCP) Supremo YS Jaganmohan Reddy attended a huge open meeting in Nandyal today. The Coordination Committee meeting discussed this issue and decided to spy on Jagan’s movements.

Chandrababu had even asked for a complete briefing about Jagan’s plans regarding the Nandyal bypoll. The Muslim vote bank is strong in Nandyal and Chandrababu ordered for measures to be taken against even one Muslim vote going to YCP.

The meeting discussed community-based voting information as well. Since the bypoll is due to the death of TDP leader Bhuma Nagireddy, Chandrababu is reported to have urged the leaders to use sentiment and gain sympathy votes. He asked the leaders not to bother about defected leaders but maintain good coordination between the existing leaders.

Till now Chandrababu has campaigned twice in Nandyal. His cabinet and 35 TDP leaders are working in Nandyal and in spite of everything Chandrababu is still worried and unsure about Nandyal.
