Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Nandyal Constituency MLC Silpa Chakrapani Reddy has formally announced his departure from TDP.

Political pundits already had predicted that Silpa Chakrapani will soon be joining Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP). He joined TDP in the presence of YSRCP Supremo Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Addressing the media at Nandyal, Chakrapani said that he has faxed his resignation to TDP chief and AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu. He cited in TDP he felt humiliated by local party leaders.

He said he was also hurt by the things said by Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya and would reply to her accusations soon. He also accused Chandrababu Naidu of ignoring him while campaigning in Nandyal.

He said that when his brother Silpa Mohan Reddy joined YSRCP, TDP leader NMD Farooq along with 100 party workers poisoned the minds of the TDP leaders against him.

He challenged TDP saying he and his brother will emerge victorious and TDP won’t be able to stop them.

YSRCP leaders Botsa Satyanarayana, Kamalapuram MLA P Raveendranatha Reddy, Kurnool District president Gauru Venkata Reddy and former MLA Kothakota Prakash Reddy were present at the press meet.
