The war of words between Telugu Desam Party and YSRCP has intensified since Jagan’s dramatic tirade against Chandrababu in Nandyal meeting. Both parties are vying for a win in the Nandyal by-election.

YSRCP leaders have all now come out in support of Jagan, after his comments on TDP, following which the Chandrababu Naidu supporters have been asking him to apologise.

Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YCP) MP Butta Renuka said that Jagan was correct when he said that Andhra Pradesh has seen no real progress under Chandrababu Naidu.

"Take Nandyal for example, if Chandrababu Naidu could not develop it in the last three years, what can he do now. “The promises of Chandrababu Naidu are confined only to putting up foundation stones,” Renuka said.

"The old and widowed do not receive pension, youth suffer unemployment, farmers and DWCRA women are burdened with loans, and now it is time that everyone taught Chandrababu a lesson," she said.

Nandikotkuru YSRCP MLA Y Isaiah speaking to media in Nandyal said that the by-election is a war between right and wrong, integrity and corruption, justice and injustice.

Chandrababu Naidu is a cheat and makes only false promises, Isaiah said.

Isaiah also appreciated the political ethics of former MLC Silpa Chakrapani Reddy and said that Chakrapani upheld the Constitution by resigning his MLC post before joining YCP.
