Nandyal byelection Is Pawan Kalyan serious about politics

Jana Sena founder and prominent Tollywood actor Pawan Kalyan plays a different politics altogether, sparing only a part of his time for politics. His major time and energy is spent on his first priority - acting. That has been his attitude so far and he has never actively involved himself in politics.

Pawan's politics has come up for discussion thanks to the Nandyal by-election, which has become an open war between the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and opposition Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YCP). Apart from these two parties, the Congress and other small parties have all filed their nominations - except for the Jana Sena.

Now voters have been keeping an eye out for Pawan Kalyan's stance on the Nandyal by-election. As of now, Pawan has not announced his support for any party - though both TDP and YCP have been vying for his support thanks to the 30,000 votes of Kapu and Balija communities in the Nandyal Assembly constituency.

Pawan met TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Monday to discuss the Uddanam Kidney disease issue. In the course of the meeting, the Nandyal by-election issue had also come up and Pawan, speaking to the media, said that he would give a decision in two days time.

It has now been ten days and we are yet to hear from Pawan.

The present TDP situation in Nandyal by-election is very conflicting with Chandrababu's two tours intensifying the conflict. TDP leaders and supporters are now looking for a 'friendly alliance' with the Jana Sena.
