Despite controversies CM Naidu to tour Nandyal a third time

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has toured Nandyal twice even before the by-election notification was issued. His remarks in those two tours became controversial with the national media being vociferous on his unwarranted remarks.

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) expects their chief, Naidu, to be in Nandyal from 18th to 21st of this month. Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YCP) supremo and opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has already planned to spend two weeks in Nandyal as part of the campaign. So the TDP wants their chief to camp for at least three days.

TDP is planning a big open air meeting and road shows with Chandrababu. But the plan is yet to be finalized.

The Nandyal by-election has become an issue of prestige for the two parties. The by-election is the result of the death of TDP leader Bhuma Nagireddy who defected YCP to join TDP. TDP’s candidate Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy is contesting against YCP’s Shilpa Mohan Reddy.
