Criminal record holders are barred from Tirumala Darshanam

Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam authorities have taken some serious measures to curb the criminal activities in Tirumala. As part of this the TTD had taken new measures to make the temple a safe place for the devotees.

One measure taken up by TTD was setting up a strict spying mechanism and the authorities are installing face detection cameras, the primary aim of which is to recognise the criminals.

The police records of every criminal consist of details with a photo and a name. These details would now make Tirumala inaccessible to the criminals. The prime purpose of these face detection cameras is to recognise and apprehend the criminals escaping the police.

These cameras would be equipped with data of old criminals and when the cameras zoom in on some criminal, it would immediately alert the police. 22 cameras are being installed at Alipiri steps to climb to Lord Venkateswara. The TTD is intending to install such cameras at all areas in Tirumala.
