Chandrababu unhappy with Tourism Minister Akhila Priya after the boat tragedy

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu seems to have targeted Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya holding her responsible for the boat tragedy near Pavitra Sangamam in Krishna River recently, which claimed 22 lives. Akhila Priya sacked few officials in the department holding them responsible for the tragedy.

But according reports, the heat seems to be on her when in a recent conference in the capital city, Chandrababu asked her to quit saying that in the past ministers taking responsibility resigned their portfolios in wake of such incidents. Akhila Priya seems to have remained silent.

Chandrababu is dissatisfied with her work as there are allegations that she shows partiality in her work. There are also accusations of a lot of pending files due to her time spent at campaigning for Nandyal by-poll.

Unfortunately Chandrababu’s hands are tied as she is the defected legislator from Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party. He gave her the ministership after she joined Telugu Desam party. It would give YSRCP the added fuel if he dismissed her from her post.

However, AP IT Minister Nara Lokesh rubbished off the incident as rumours saying that Akhila Priya is a young girl with a bright future and that she’s doing a good job. He even condemned reports of a cabinet reshuffle.
