Chandrababu makes Gangula brothers a pawn in its Nandyal game plan
- TDP started a new rumour on Wednesday night saying that ‘Gangula gave a shock to YCP’
- There are two Gangula brothers, one in Congress and the other in YCP
- TDP cleverly concealed the fact about which brother met the TDP chief in Amaravathi
- But this news backfired on Allagadda and Nandyal TDP which is left in confusion as to this new twist just six days before the by-election
FollowTelugu Desam Party (TDP) in another attempt to weaken the morale of YCP (Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party) camp six days before the by-election started a new rumour on Wednesday night stating that ‘Gangula gave a shock to YCP’ and that Gangula Pratap Reddy met CM Chandrababu Naidu.
Gangula Pratap Reddy met the CM in Amaravathi Secretariat along with Transport Minister Atchannaidu. The news gained prominence because Gangula Pratap is the brother of YCP MLC Gangula Prabhakar Reddy.
Gangula Pratap Reddy has no connection with YCP as he belongs to Congress and a Congress leader joining TDP would never be a shock to YCP. This is nothing but a ploy of TDP to cause confusion in the YCP camp and demean their morale in the by-election.
But the Gangula-Chandrababu meeting set ripples in the TDP fold though the point of discussion is not revealed. When the news of Gangula Pratap Reddy joining TDP reached the TDP camp, there was a big uproar among the TDP leaders.
In Allagadda and Nandyal constituencies, Bhuma and SPY Reddy families have enmity with Gangula families since decades. Even TDP leaders AV Subba Reddy and NMD Farooq are against Gangula brothers joining TDP. As soon as the news about Gangula-Chandrababu meet reached Nandyal TDP camp, all the leaders joined with their supporters to analyse the situation.
Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya was in the road show of actor and TDP MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna when the news of Gangula meet reached her. She immediately gathered with her supporters to discuss the meet. None of the Nandyal and Allagadda leaders were aware of this meet and everyone is furious with the TDP chief for keeping this a secret.
All the Allagadda and Nandyal TDP leaders aim to stop Gangula family from joining TDP. But if Chandrababu disregards their opinion and invites Gangula into the party, then there may be a change in the Nandyal by-election political scenario.
