Chandrababu expresses his ineptitude to attach JMRs properties
Highlights
  • Chandrababu expressed his ineptitude to attach JMR’s properties as they were in the custody of CBI and ED
  • He requested the Centre to take over JMR’s properties and even the Sakshi newspaper
  • He promised to bring in special laws to enable attachment of people’s properties involved in corruption

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP (Telugu Desam Party) chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu made interesting comments on YSRCP (Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party) supremo JMR (YS Jaganmohan Reddy). He expressed his ineptitude to attach JMR’s properties.

He sought the assistance of Centre to take over Jagan’s properties and Sakshi newspaper like it did Satyam’s. The state government is unable to takeover JMR’s properties as they are under CBI and ED (Endowments Department).

Under the new laws introduced by the State government, it has the authority to take over the properties of people who are involved in corruption. He said he will organise special courts to take over the huge properties of scammers. He said if corrupt people’s properties are attached to the government, it will then reduce corruption and that’s the reason he said he had supported demonetisation.

He expressed his anger that because of JMR, the state is losing its face and after the story of JMR in the Paradise paper scam, the state lost it positive image. Investors are scared to invest in the state knowing JMR’s history and they mentioned it to Chandrababu.

Investors are apprehensive of their investment if YSRCP comes to power in 2019 but Chandrababu assured them that TDP will once again form government in 2019.

He stated that whoever takes up a padayatra will not become a CM and if that was the case then why didn’t Sharmila become a CM after she finished her padayatra before 2014 and even he didn’t win the election in 2009 even after he completed his bus yatra prior to it.
