Chandrababu angry at villagers in Nandyal

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu as part of his Nandyal by-poll campaign visited the Yaluru village in Gospadu Mandal on Saturday night.  In his campaign visit to Yaluru, when Chandrababu started to speak from his vehicle, the villagers began listing their petitions before the CM.

Chandrababu became agitated and started to verbally abuse the villagers. He warned them of arrest if they spoke anything more. When one villager complained to the CM about the lack of power in the village, he was personally abused.

“Did you drink and come to my meeting”? Chandrababu asked. “How dare you come to my meeting drunk and talk rubbish?” He continued to berate him saying, “Did Jaganmohan Reddy send you? I have seen hundreds like you.”

The villagers were shocked by the CM’s words. They had come to the meeting to petition about their problems. Even after his rebuke, the villagers tried to voice their problems.

Following which the CM thundered and threatened one villager saying, “I will send the District collector and Regional Development Officers to your village tomorrow. Everyone can talk about your problems and if it is known that your petition is false, then I will file a police case against you.”

The villagers were bewildered at this turn of events. They couldn’t fathom as to why the CM was berating them when they had come to submit their petitions. Amidst this chaos, the villagers started shouting and the meeting had to close.
