Indian and United States troops, which began their Yudh Abhyas 2021 military exercise a few days ago, carried out a joint yoga session at the Buckner Physical Training centre at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson in Anchorage Alaska. Indian yoga instructors taught the troops a total of 17 asanas, including Surya Namaskar.
Yudh Abhyas, which is the two forces' longest-running cooperative military training, will see around 300 soldiers from both sides participating in this defence cooperation project.
Apart from cold weather survival and mountaineering training in Alaska, the troops will also engage in small-arms marksmanship, medical evacuation by air and field training exercise.
