Karnataka Pulse | Bengalurians Face Garbage Cess, BJP Target Congress

Starting April 1, 2025, Bengaluru residents will have to pay a new 'garbage cess' as the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) implements a Solid Waste Management user fee. This fee is based on the size of residential properties, with charges ranging from ₹10 per month for homes up to 600 sq ft to ₹400 for properties over 4,000 sq ft. Additionally, commercial establishments will incur charges of ₹12 per kg for waste disposal. WATCH.
