BJP leader: 'Destruction' of coronavirus in India will begin with Ayodhya Ram Temple construction
The ‘bhoomi pujan’ (groundbreaking ceremony) for the Ram temple is scheduled for August 5.
Gwalior: Rameshwar Sharma, Madhya Pradesh Assembly Protem Speaker and Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) leader, thinks that the beginning of the construction work for Ram Temple in Ayodhya will end the coronavirus pandemic in India.
He told news agency ANI, "He (Lord Ram) had reincarnated for the welfare of mankind and to kill demons at that time. As soon as the construction of Ram Temple begins the destruction of the COVID pandemic will begin too."
He added that not only India, but the entire world is suffering due to the coronavirus.
“We are not only maintaining social distancing but also remembering our holy figures. The Supreme Court has ordered that Ram Temple will be built,” he said.
According to reports, the Ram Temple will be built on 2.75 lakh cubic metre area, and will be two-storeyed. With a length of 270 metres, a width of 140 feet and a height of 128 feet, the temple with 330 beams and 212 pillars on both the floors will have five doors. The ‘bhoomi pujan’ (groundbreaking ceremony) for the Ram temple is scheduled for August 5.
Meanwhile, with the highest-ever single-day spike of 45,720 cases, India's COVID-19 tally crossed the 12-lakh mark on Thursday (July 23) while the death toll mounted to 29,861 with a record 1,129 fatalities in a day, according to the Union health ministry data.
The country crossed the 12-lakh mark just three days after it crossed the 11-lakh milestone.
