The accused confessed to the crime. He said he strangled his wife to death over some domestic feud
Bhopal: A man was arrested in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal for killing his 32-year-old wife. During the investigation police found out that the accused Sher Singh Ahirwar had killed his wife and put her body in an under-bed wooden storage box and slept over it for two days.
The deceased was identified as Arti Ahirwar, a resident of Bhagat Singh ward under Motinagar police station in Sagar city, according to Hindustan Times.
The report added that Sher had borrowed an axe from his neighbour and was talking of some murder in an intoxicated state. When police reached home, a foul smell was coming out of the home and the body of the woman was found in a wooden box used to store beneath.
“The accused confessed to have committed the crime two days back. He strangled his wife to death over some domestic feud,” a police officer added.
The accused was arrested under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sent to jail after being produced before a court.
