A video of an alligator biting a female zoo handler's hand and a visitor jumping into the alligator enclosure to rescue her is going viral.
In the video, a zoo handler at Scales and Tails in Utah can be seen looking after the alligator and display the reptile's abilities to the visitors.
Suddenly, the alligator bites her hand and locks it with its jaw as she tries to put her hand beside the reptile.
A visitor present at the zoo jumps inside the enclosure and lands on top of the alligator.
After a few moments of tussle, he accomplishes to loosen the grip of the reptile's teeth from the staff's hand and with a bit of help from other visitors, he was able to free the woman. Watch the horrifying video:
However, the woman suffered injuries on her hand and was taken to a hospital.
Later, the zoo authorities and the female staff thanked the man and other visitors who helped.
The video has garnered more than 20k views and netizens lauded the man for saving the woman's life.
