Action hero Ravi Teja, Mehreen Pirzada and Prakash Raj’s Raja the Great directed by Anil Ravipudi which hit the silver screens yesterday failed to impress the critics. The film didn’t receive good reviews though the audience seemed to be entertained by the star hero Ravi Teja and the comedy in the film.
There are many films, if missed by one hero becomes a boon for the other. Sumanth missed Tholi Prema which made Pawan Kalyan popular, Pawan Kalyan missed Idiot which was a huge success to Ravi Teja while Ravi Teja missed Pokiri, the all-time hit of Mahesh Babu.
The list is endless and director Dil Raju recently said, “Many have missed Raja the Great… As the story was only meant for Ravi Teja”. But critics feel that that maybe the reason for many heroes giving it a miss, lack of good storyline.
Actors Ram, Jr. NTR and some other heroes rejected doing the film and it landed in Ravi Teja’s kitty.
Except for the concept of hero being blind, there’s nothing much in the film but audience can be entertained by the full-fledged comedy in the film but it will never be a classic like Sirivennela as reported in Tupaki news.
