Telangana Urban Development Minister K Taraka Ramarao inspected the prestigious Metrorail construction at the Secunderabad Oliphenta Bridge on Thursday. Speaking to the media afterwards, he said that the Hyderabad Metrorail would stand as one of the world’s best Metrorail projects.

He vowed to finish the works of Metrorail from Nagol to Ameerpet and Ameerpet to Miyapur by November 15. He said the inauguration date of the Metrorail would be fixed according to the convenience of the Prime Minister, possibly on November 19 or 20.

He said that Municipal officers had visited various cities in foreign countries to study about the best construction process of Metrorail. He wished that this prestigious project should be inaugurated by the PM Narendra Modi. He expressed his appreciation that L&T and HMR authorities overcame many hurdles to construct this prestigious Metrorail.

He also stated that Nagol-Mettuguda and Miyapur-SR Nagar corridors were completed long back but they weren’t inaugurated as it wouldn’t be much use to the public. The 30 kms long Metrorail would be very useful to the public and this would be inaugurated in November.
