Actress Samantha is the brand ambassador of Telangana weaving industry Former minister and Congress MLA DK Aruna criticised the Telangana government for its choice of ambassador She also alleged that KCR has double standards to every issue
Former Congress minister and Telangana MLA DK Aruna criticised the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government for roping in actress Samantha Prabhu as the brand ambassador of the weaving industry. She criticised them for selecting a person not belonging to the state as a brand ambassador.

She also targeted Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao, for his double standards on GST. She alleged that KCR had been partial in giving just Rs 5 lakh compensation to the rehabilitation of Palamuru Rangareddy inhabitants while giving a compensation of Rs 15 lakh for the rehabilitation of the Mallanna Sagar residents.
Aruna alleged that IT Minister K Taraka Ramamrao exhibited his partiality by allotting 90 per cent of funds to his fort Sircilla and 10 per cent to his father’s fort Gajwel. KTR had also showcased power loom sarees as weaved ones during Bathukamma festival.
She criticised the derogatory language used by KCR, KTR and Harish Rao and said that subsequently this would reflect on Telangana’s language.
She also alleged that the TRS government is only filling police department vacancies so as to throttle the agitation of the people. Nerella incident in Sircilla district is an example of this, she said.
