Honour Killing: Charred body of youth found in field owned by wife's father

Yet another case of honour killing has come to light after the charred body of Amboju Naresh, 23, has been found in a field owned by his wife's father. Naresh was missing since May 15 after he got married to an upper caste girl. 

Police had launched a search after his father Amboji Venkatiah filed a missing complaint. Naresh, a native of Bhongir town of Nalgonda district had married T Swati without approval from her family. He belonged to BC community while Swati was from Reddy community. The duo had eloped and married on March 25. 

Naresh and Swati fell in love while studying at a college in Valigonda, Nalgonda. Her family did not approve their relationship, and the couple eloped to Mumbai and got married there. They continued in Mumbai till Swati's father Srinivas Reddy called them and invited to the home. They came back on May 11. 

On May 16 Swati committed suicide in the bathroom of her parent's house, Naresh went missing. 

Police have arrested Reddy, his brother and nephew for allegedly abducting and stabbing Naresh to death and setting his body on fire.
