FollowA Hyderabad woman fell victim to harassment by an Ola cab driver, who tried to gather information about her and also made an attempt to take her to a secluded location.
The woman boarded the Ola cab from Lingampally to Vanasthalipuram but the driver instead of taking her towards Vanasthalipuram directed the cab towards PV Narasimha Rao Express Highway.
He started to harass the woman who started shouting loudly. The residents of Aramghar heard her cries and stopped the cab. They then informed the police who took the cab driver into custody.
The driver K Shiva Kumar, 22, of BN Reddy Nagar colony was arrested by SHE Teams of Vanasthalipuram and LB Nagar Police after a complaint was lodged by the victim on Tuesday. Police registered a case under Sections 354 and 354 D of IPC and further investigation is going on.
