FollowThe drug mafia has been mostly observed in schools in Hyderabad where the wealthy children study. Peddlers are supplying drugs to Class VIII and above students and are converting them into addicts. Even girls are becoming drug addicts at the age of 13 and 14. According to police calculations, around 1000 children in Hyderabad have become drug addicts.
According to the list revealed by the police, 19 top range schools are bursting with drugs. Please check if your children are studying in those schools. The names of the schools have also come out. But the police are not disclosing the list maybe because there is no foolproof information or that the children of these schools come from influential families. The police say that they are facing pressure not to reveal the names of the schools as these are private educational institutions.
The police have doubts regarding substance abuse some more educational institutions apart from these schools and colleges. But the police estimate that in the list of schools that they have, two to three out of every 10 children are becoming drug addicts.
