One of the famous temples in Telangana state is the Palakurthi Someshwara Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple. The negligence of the temple authorities resulted in the presence of a dead lizard in the ‘prasadam’ packets officially sold by the temple authorities.

Devotees of the temple were agonised over the negligence in preparing the prasadam without checking the kitchen and how it was being prepared in dirty surroundings.

According to details received, Nethi Venkataramana from Visnuru village visited the Someshwara temple and bought the prasadam at the counter. While his daughter Varnika was eating the prasadam, they saw the dead lizard inside the packet. Varnika was immediately rushed to the local private hospital and given treatment.

Temple Executive Officer Sadanandam accepted the truth of the dead lizard in prasadam packet and promised that such incidents would not recur. The authorities took the issue seriously and dismissed the contractor.
