Tollywood actor Ravi Teja’s brother Bharath Teja died after he was involved in an accident on Saturday night. The incident took place on the Outer Ring Road and it happened that Bharath’s car rear-ended a stationary truck. The funeral was held on Sunday with Ravi Teja and members from his family giving the funeral a miss.
Police on investigation of the car found empty liquor bottles as well. However, it was under investigation whether the actor was driving under the influence of alcohol. The impact of the collision mangled the car and the police extricated the body with the help of locals.
The viscera of the deceased was sent to a forensic science laboratory. According to a report in the Deccan Chronicle CCTV grabs from the Novotel hotel in Shamshabad at 2.55pm on Saturday show that he was in the hotel and had partied with friends till 4.30pm on the first floor. The report mentions that the actor then had at 4.30pm, Bharath come down and went to the swimming pool where he relaxed drinking till late in the night. At 9.25pm he left the hotel and started towards ORR.
It is suspected that he had been overspeeding and the Red Skoda sedan that he was travelling in, hit a lorry that was parked near the roadside after it broke down. A case will be registered against the lorry driver as he parked it without switching on precautionary indicators for other vehicles, police said.
According to reports in The Hindu, Bharath’s relationship with his family had been and the last rites were performed by his father’s younger brother Murthy Raju late on Sunday afternoon.
