Black magic in Telangana claims the lives of 5 in one family

FollowA family in the Kandugula Gangireddhula Colony, Karimnagar was harassed by their own relatives accusing them of practicing black magic. Deeply distressed, the parents hanged their three daughters first and then they committed suicide. This incident took place on Sunday night.
This tragedy took place in Kandugula Gangireddhula Colony, Huzurabad Mandal, Karimnagar District.
Ghanta Komaraiah (36) from Gangireddhula Colony got married to Komaramma (34) from Kondapur village, Husnabad Mandal a few years back. They had three daughters Ellamma (10), Komaramma (8) and Anjamma (6). Komaramma’s family doubted that Komaraiah was practicing black magic. They called the family to Husnabad and harassed them regarding this. Every moment they were tortured and insulted. The family feared that they would be killed.
Anguished, the couple first hanged their three daughters on Sunday night and then they committed suicide by hanging themselves. The neighbours who came to know of their suicides informed the police on Monday morning. City CI Ramana Murthy then visited the place, filed a case and is investigating.
Black magic is still existent in the remote areas of Telangana. People being harassed for black magic has become a common phenomena in the villages. It is really sad to see that people are being tortured by plucking out eyes and beating them all in the name of black magic.
